Silje Nes - Ames Room

Silje Nes is a norweigen singer / songwriter. Her debut album 'Ames
Room' has an indie folk sound and was entirely home-recorded. It's
perfect to chillout and relax to.

Midlake - The Courage Of Others

Brand spanking new from Midlake, an American band from Texas. Their
previous album 'The Trials of Van Occupanther' was excellent and this
one maintains the high standard.

They play indie rock with a 60s/70s vibe. This will be one of the
albums of 2010, definitely not to be missed.

Here We Go Magic

Slightly psychedelic indie folk. The self titled debut album was
easily one of my favourite releases of last year.

Sin Fang Bous - Clangour

Sin Fang Bous is a relative unknown Icelandic guy called Sindri Már
Sigfússon, he doesn't even have a Wikipedia page as of writing.

His sound is indie folk, quite psychedelic at times. It's kinda like
Panda Bear meets Arcade Fire, but not really. Awesome stuff though.

Bibio

Bibio is difficult to pigeonhole, his music is electronic, folk inspried, some call it 'folktronic'. I just call it good.

Fleet Foxes

Their self titled album has just been released.

Inevitabley they will be compared with the Beach Boys because of their fantastic harmonies.

These guys are really good.

Check this acoustic number 'Oliver James'...

Johnathan Rice - Trouble is Real

'Trouble is Real' is one for fans of people like Ray LaMontagne, R.E.M. etc.

It's easy going 'indie folk'. I like it because it's a got a good mix of sounds; plenty of acoustic moments with full strings contrasting with more uplifting numbers.

As ever it's easier for you to listen than for me to describe...
