Lukid - Foma

North London based produced Lukid released his album 'Foma' early this
year. It's instrumental hip-hop at it's finest, but darker than you
may be expecting. Last.fm cites artists such as Lone and Dimlight as
being similar, I can kind of see what they're getting at.

Bibio - The Apple And The Tooth

Not content with releasing only 2 amazing albums this year, Bibio has
just released 'The Apple And The Tooth'. Granted there are more
remixes than new material on it but it's all top quality.

I was lucky enough to see him play a DJ set live this week just gone,
if you get the chance to see him do not pass it up, he was awesome!

Favourite track of the night was the new Lone mix of 'All The
Flowers'. It's all about the flip near the end.

Dorian Concept - When Planets Explode

There is little information to be found on the internets about Dorian Concept. I found him through the magic that is the recommendation system on Last.fm

His sound is difficult to pigeonhole, i'd say it's experimental electronic hip-hop (even if the track i've posted isn't hip-hop).

Either way it's really good.

Kona Triangle 'Sing a New Sapling Into Existence'

Kona Triangle are a collaboration of British electronic artists Lone and Keaver & Brause. Their debut album 'Sing a New Sapling Into Existence' has just been released and it's amazing.

It's ambient, has cool beats; a cross between hip-hop and dub-step. Well worth a listen.

Little Dragon - Machine Dreams

Swedish band Little Dragon have recently released their second album
'Machine Dreams'. I really liked their self-titled debut but I can't
get enough of this new release.

It's electronic, down-tempo, trip-hop. Amazing stuff.

Lone - Lemurian

Lone lists two of his greatest influences on his music as Boards of Canada and Madlib. Which I guess kind of makes sense as his sound is a cross between electronica and hip hop. It's an interesting combination, he pulls it off really well.

Friendly Fires

These guys seem to be getting a lot of hype at the moment. Especially
just having been nominated for the coveted Mercury Music Prize.
Electro tinged indie does seem to be popular at the moment though.

Personally I really like 'Strobe'...

Bibio

Bibio is difficult to pigeonhole, his music is electronic, folk inspried, some call it 'folktronic'. I just call it good.

Passion Pit

This is one of those bands I should find really annoying but I don't.

I guess they fall somewhere in between MGMT and hot chip.

Electronic, catchy, a little cheesey, but very cool.

This is I've got your number...

Pnau - With You Forever

Electro/Synth/Pop/Funk/House music at it's best. 'With You Forever' is a track by an Australian duo by the name of Pnau.

And because I feel like it I'm going to wheel out a classic house record from 2001. Agent Sumo '24 Hours'...
