El Michel's Affair - Sounding Out The City

El Michel's Affair play instrumental funk, the kind of stuff that sounds like it was recorded way back when but it's not, it's all brand new.

'Sounding Out The City' has an old school soul-jazz feel, but with a new school hip-hop vibe. It's all recorded live and it's all about the soul, funk and jazz.

This video clip is of their version of Wu Tang's 'C.R.E.A.M', unfortunately not featured on the album, but it gives you an idea of what you're in for...

Orgone - The Killion Floor

Media_httpbp0bloggercom4tqcetmleysr9usr97ayliaaaaaaaaad4ig5vkxzc13ss200ur219200jpg_bwciqiitprsrmdj
Ubiquity records artist Orgone recently released their first full length album 'The Killion Floor'.

It's soulful and it's pure funk.

With it's 60's sound it's going to get comparisons to Winehouse and Sharon Jones but i'd say it has a more disco vibe going on that gives it a unique sound.

Well worth a listen.
